Relentless poltergeists

What do you see in their eyes?

it’s a curious thing

your eyes

do they look back

from someone’s wall

like some won prize

do they wear

someone’s wallet

black leather

love reduced to

pocket size

are they bound

in someone’s album

carefully eternalized

was anyone ever

this wise

are they the last thing

someone sees before

a good piece of advice

are they someone’s

sole and greatest vice

are they someone’s lost memory

no longer

reverie’s greatest device

the main character in their goodbyes

are they haunting

someone’s long torturous nights

like relentless poltergeist

even the devils

most horrendous demise
