This is a mixed villanelle, the form is correct but switches between obvious comfort and the safety and control that we need to be really comfortable.

Drowning
This is a dark poem for Dharrsheena. It is not how I feel. So here are my words. The music is "drowning" by The Beat. Sometimes things really hit us hard, and lots of things are hitting me at the moment. I can deal with everything but some people cannot deal with things and they can become very lost.

Safety and being in control definitely screams comfort. I smiled when I saw cake and chocolate, lol. This was a very comforting poem and I loved it!
I love the way you switch back and forth between the simple pleasures of life type of comforts and the foundational comfort of feeling safe and knowing those we love are safe, too. As long as we feel safe as a person, family, or community, it doesn't take much of life's simple pleasures to complete our sense of happiness. Without the feeling of safety, the other would feel empty and hollow.
