Timeless World

The Blue

A mysterious path crossed over

mystic plains.

My bible engraved

Stone scriptures and beautiful

lines of innocence.

We escaped time here in this

place.

My world

You would love it if you stayed

long enough for it to sink in.

Your skin

Dance for endless hours on

eclipsing fantasies born from

words and lines in books.

But you wouldn't know anything

about that.

Would you?

.

I tied my arms behind my back

and bent through the waves of

my psyche.

Floating like a feather in the air.

Touched your hair

Never in the world have you

known such a place.

I hold the broken clock between

clenched teeth, and rainbow smiles.

You never knew what I could do.

What magic I possessed.

Deep inside of this everlasting

dream.

There is no awakening.

.

Life is like a toaster

Sometimes we burn

Crispy thin outlines of

ourselves.

Nothing more

But you never believed in

anything but yourself.

Trying to pry your eyes open

to see the blue of my world.

Your flaws we're erased and

I knew nothing but greatness.

.

We here

In this time

Fallen

Like Shadows

Whispering

surreal poetry

About the Creator

Jessica Green

My name is Jessica Christal Green.

I first started writing poems when I was just a young girl.

I always wanted to explore the world, and why we do the things we do through words.

Stories sustained me.

Now I begin sharing mine with the world.
