I am every shade of ink I've ever used

to scribble down these words

I keep inside.

Poems, stories, songs.

Stitched them together until my fingers bled.

The only thing that I had.

The only thing that I could be.

That made me unique.

Blue pen

.

Red pen

.

Black

.

Each shade an emotion, a taste, a smell.

And I the magician, the maestro, the

Weaver of spells

.

I am the mother of a legion

An arsenal

My weapons sharp and calligraphic

They tear you open

They reveal

.

I can see myself grow inside of them.

The belly of this beast.

My Creation

.

Each line a gift to me

A blessing

And I am filled with such

Gratitude

For without them.....

About the Creator

Jessica Green

My name is Jessica Christal Green.

I first started writing poems when I was just a young girl.

I always wanted to explore the world, and why we do the things we do through words.

Stories sustained me.

Now I begin sharing mine with the world.
