Momma taught me patience
She said patience is the key
It’s how you make a wish come true
It’s how you find the best in you
Some things in life
Don’t come so easily
But patience will bring you peace
Daddy taught me loyalty
He said loyalty is key
Some things in life you must hold on to
Though sometimes friends may be untrue
The face in the mirror guides you
Integrity will see you through
These are the keys that I collected
These are the keys that they gave to me
I’m saving all the lessons life sends my way
These are the keys
And I use them everyday
Grandma taught me joy
She said find it everywhere
The morning breeze
The autumn trees
Just showing someone you really care
Pop Pop taught me gratitude
He said giving thanks is the most important thing
Never take for granted
One single gift
Not even a rainy day
These are the keys that I collected
