The Witness
And It Was Good

I peered from His Kingdom emblazoned with wings
And watched the creation of beautiful things
The Alpha Creator commenced with His plan
He wanted His Kingdom a dwelling for man
I watched it in Genesis, book, chapter one
God motioned to Jesus as Jesus begun
He ordered the darkness to, “Let there be light”
The darkness obeyed Him with nary a fight
He sprinkled the heavens with billions of stars
Gave Earth a few neighbors, like Venus and Mars
Since trees were created that weren’t ever seeds
It’s obvious “time” isn’t something He needs
He made every creature, each after its kind
Each one to remain in the way it’s assigned
The mountains He crafted had never been hills
These things aren’t an effort, He does as He wills
I watched Him intently, I watched Him in awe
Can hardly describe all the wonders I saw
Who else is creating with only His voice
Some major, some minor, whatever His choice
He filled up the oceans, the pastures with grain
And all on a planet that’s never seen rain
He put fish in the oceans and birds in the sky
Made everything perfect, where nothing would die
How long was each day of creation He took
One evening, one morning, it’s there in the book
So no evolution, no billions of years
No science, no permits, and no engineers
He finished creating, proclaiming it, “Good”
Then gave it to people to tend as they should
An orchard of trees, plus the one He forbids
To a man and a woman who never were kids
