Sour Grapes

A Poison Within

By Earl W. PearlPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

Grapes pressed by hatred make bitter the wine

We’ll be known by the fruit that we ate

Our own self-destruction, it kills from within

Through gossip, revenge, and our hate

Human nature compels us to “even the score”

But nature’s infected with lies

Bitter the poison we swallow ourselves

All while hoping that someone else dies
