The Weather Is Beautiful This Fall
The colors change this season
No one knows what to expect
leaves are falling and reason
says fall is suspect!
~
Sweatshirts and jackets are worn
freezing weather expected
just a few days and this morn
we know to respect
~
The colors left on the trees
look like bright-colored rockets
Fewer birds and no more bees
Hands in the pockets
~
People will dress in layers
there will be those naysayers
They will not wager or bet
“It isn’t fall yet!”
~
10-day forecast says it all
cold weather is here to stay
at least for the next few days
There will be a stall!
It happens almost every fall!
~~

Love the autumn season just wish in Louisiana the leaves would change to pretty colors but from green to mostly brown or just faded yellow. I would love cold and even damp weather for I would settle in reading, writing over tea, hot chocolate with marshmallows or even wine. Oh to be North again.
This fall has been warmer than the previous fall but the leaves are still falling. Love you poem, it gets me in the season of fall
Your poem was absolutely wonderful. I loved it!
