A Villanelle For Newcastle United's Carabao Cup Victory Parade

Introduction
I have been wondering how to commemorate this as an adopted Novocastrian. I keep seeing the pictures and videos and can still hardly believe that three hundred thousand fans turned out to congratulate Eddie Howe and the team on Saturday 29th of March 2025.
I have written this villanelle as my celebration, but check out the video and pictures on social media. This is the parade:
As far as I am concerned Lindisfarne's "Fog On Th eTyne" is THE Geordie anthem.

Introduction It is Mother's Day in the uK today. I have never done this before and I thought it was about time I did. My mum died of a heart attack and stroke over thirty-five years ago, and she is with me every day. Wild Card Weekend Recap: What Happens Now?
I think I figured out why I love Wild Card Weekend so much. It's because it's the first playoff anything of the calendar year. The NFL season starts in the fall, and once upon a time, the champion was crowned either on or slightly before New Year's. The evolution of the NFL schedule has resulted in the playoffs starting just into the New Year, and currently, the final week of the season falls on the first weekend of the New Year, with Wild Card Weekend coming a week after that. So yes, chronologically, the NFL's Wild Card Weekend serves as the first playoff anything of the calendar year.

Excellent villanelle, as always, and kudos to the team and its sea of fans.
This is quite impressive and liked the pictures. It kind of reminded me of quite a few years ago when the Pittsburgh Steelers won the Super Bowl. The streets were packed with fans when they got back to town. Good job.
