Their Love Is Out Of This World

The sun took the day off from the bold rosy sky

to see the moon, show off his skin

As he hung with the men that fly by -

in the ship full of heat, made of tin

*

She said she will wait at the edge of the dusk

as he bows down his head, just near dawn

She will beam as he dons on his musk

her love for his glow, goes on and on

*

Kept arms span away, due to the turn of our orb

they fill the sky with a warm glow of tear

None of her hope can it curb

she will come back for him, year into year

*

A tale of true love, that has been thru it all

will give hope to the few who will see

Even the tide can - not pull them away

what a folk tale, for you and for me

love poems

I love this concept, this is a beautiful poem.

  • Ah, for every new moon when they're nearest each other (at least from our vantage point), & every eclipse, whether lunar or solar, when they join in our sky as one.
