Night at the Opera
as silence and darkness meet in fear
By Love Odessa Published a day ago • 1 min read

It’s a nauseating scene to be subjected to,
in a sad sort of way—
such a beautiful girl,
become a pushover
to the man that rose.
And as he rose, she fell to the ground,
refusing to beg mercy.
Then the curtain falls.
Two doves part in the air
as silence and darkness meet in fear,
with light buried far into the dome.
The beautiful girl is still far from home.
Then finally the show is over,
but no one’s laughing
when the lights go flicker,
for the truth is lying, stretched out over the floor,
as her bloody corpse smears the carpet.
