Words Inspired By The Painting By Angie Livingstone

"The Spring Tree Goddess" by Angie Livingstone (The Glittering Fox)

Introduction

This wonderful picture by Angie made me think of old Earth and Nature magic and mysticism which I shall interpret via a villanelle.

This is my thirty-sixth piece inspired by Angie's work, and I am grateful that she has allowed to do this. When we reach the fiftieth one it will then be time to produce our book.

This is her work on Etsy

The music is "Moonlight Dryads" by Derek Fiechter

This has also been entered in Natasha Collazo's "Calling all Poets!" Challenge which you can check out here:

Beautiful Dryad, Goddess of Nature

Standing Majestic, Mystical Maiden

You Are Their Queen, Adored By All Creatures

Spring Tree Goddess, You Drive Away Winter

And Bring Forth New Life, With Loving Intent

Beautiful Dryad, Goddess of Nature

🌺🐰🌳🐰🌺

The Rabbits Await You, None Are Gentler

Your Sweet Petals Fall Like A Subtle Rain

You Are Their Queen, Adored By All Creatures

Spring Tree Goddess, Nature's Rebirth Usher

See The Flowers And Crops Bloom Once Again

Beautiful Dryad, Goddess of Nature

🌺🐰🌳🐰🌺

From Winter To Spring, Then On To Summer

Our Spring Tree Goddess Over All Watching

You Are Their Queen, Adored By All Creatures

🌺🐰🌳🐰🌺

The Spring Tree Goddess, Our Earthly Mother

For All Her Creatures, She's Ever Present

Beautiful Dryad, Goddess of Nature

You Are Their Queen, Adored By All Creatures

Well-wrought! Though I must say, I'm a bit spoiled on rabbits as gentle creatures, as I had one of my own, an albino red-eyed Netherland Dwarf who was mean and lean! Also, having recently watched "Watership Down" probably doesn't help...

We are delightfully waiting for the Spring Tree Goddess to bless us with the warmth of spring and the plants waking up and bring to life. Love this poem.

  • Beautifully rendered. Only 14 to go!

Why did I get emotional reading this?! There’s so much more to a poem when you pair it with an artwork as sweet as the one you chose. This was a delight!
