The saddest day in UK history,
Our Queen Died the world is in shock

The saddest day in UK history,
When our Queen left us to weep,
The world fell into silence,
As hearts mourned so deep.
Flags flew low in the distance,
A sign of heartfelt loss,
For a leader loved by many,
Whose reign we came to trust.
The bells tolled softly,
Mourning echoed through the air,
A life of dedication,
Marked by grace and care.
In gardens where she wandered,
And halls where she would greet,
The essence of her kindness
Is a memory bittersweet.
Though the palace stands unwavering,
And the crown rests in its place,
Her spirit lingers gently,
In the love we still embrace.
So we gather to remember,
With gratitude and pride,
For our Queen, who served with honor,
Her memory will forever guide.
God bless Queen Elizabeth may she rest in Peace 💙❤️💙

Such a heartfelt and beautiful poem! ❤️
Even for someone who is not entirely Royalist, it was impossible not to notice the greatness of Elizabeth II. She was kind, strong, empathetic and unwavering. There are not many like her left in this world sadly. Your poem was very enjoyable to read, and is a very fitting tribute to her. Thanks for sharing Marie.
A heartfelt tribute! You captured the Queen’s legacy beautifully. 👑💙
