The Rain
A War with the Trees
By Michelle RattermanPublished 3 years ago • Updated 3 years ago • 1 min read

The gray clouds filled with rain hung heavy over the forest. The clouds sends the rain down to the Earth like an army of men going to war—the rain on a mission to demolish everything in its path. The cold, wet drops, sharp as knives, fell to the forest below, and the trees fought back. Its thick green canopy stretched out, layering its leaves with other trees that were familiar with this combat. The forest had witnessed many trees uprooted by the prolonged drenching rainfalls. The sky perched to remind the Earth it is always ready to destroy.
