The Puffy Three-eyed Biseray

When Awake has Something to Say

By Amos GladePublished 9 months ago Updated 8 months ago 1 min read

In the deepest corners of the darkest heart

A fuzzy creature stirs its slumber

The Puffy Three-eyed Biseray

Is small to behold, but quite a drowsy wonder.

Black as the night and covered in hair,

And a mouth full of sharp toothy grins,

The Puffy Three-eyed Biseray

Dreams of pure joy and hopes to wash away sins.

When you get angry, when you get mad,

When your vision is blurred with bitter

and fury

and rage.

The Puffy Three-eyed Biseray

Will wake with a jolt and open its eyes from your cage.

Because deep down inside,

When we’re sad and alone,

And the demons start to unfold,

The Puffy Three-eyed Biseray

Whispers words from the depths of your soul.

If you only dare harken to hear he’ll say:

“I’m kindness, I’m love, I’m generous too.

I’ll get bigger if given away.”

This is weird in the best way. Kinda sweet, kinda eerie—and I really like the message at the end.

It's honestly great to have you back, Amos. Loved the poem and especially those last three lines. But what the heck is a Biseray? Why do I get the feeling I'm missing something with that name?
