The Miscommunications of Albert Ross and Herman Thaddeus
The strange meeting of an albatross and a human

Well, here’s the weirdest back-and-forth you’ll ever come across,
It happened between a human and a wandering albatross.
It was the albatross’ first trip beyond his native Africa,
And the human’s first time ever leaving North America.
The bird was flying solo, and the man, commercial sailing,
When the seabird came and landed on the cruise ship’s front deck railing.
And though the ship’s front deck was packed with travelers being loud,
The bird and man still did their best to shout over the crowd.
“You’re the biggest seagull I’ve ever seen!” the human one admired,
“And what’s your name, my feathered friend?” he affably inquired.
“I’m actually an albatross,” the seabird clarified,
“It’s good to meet you, Albert Ross!” his human friend replied.
“You’re the tallest chimp I’ve ever seen!” the albatross admired,
“And what’s your name, my hairy friend?” he affably inquired.
“A human, that is,” the gentleman politely clarified,
“Hello there, Herman Thaddeus!” the albatross replied.
“I’m traveling to Seoul!” the human said, excitedly,
“I’m headed to Cancun!” the albatross replied with glee.
They soon said their goodbyes, with no more time to be delaying,
Plus each could hardly hear a word the other one was saying.
The seabird said, “Enjoy the South Pole, and perhaps I’ll see you soon!”
The man replied, “Same to you my friend, have a great time on the moon!
