The Lighthouse Keeper’s Dream

He was dedicated to his dreams

The Lighthouse Keeper’s Dream

He kept the flame above the sea,

Through storm and fog, through endless night,

He watched the waves like restless souls,

All drawn toward that borrowed light.

He’d write his thoughts in battered books,

Of ships and ghosts and dreams unmade,

He said the sea remembers all,

Even the prayers that never fade.

One night he dreamed the light went out,

The stars fell silent, lost to grey,

The sea grew still, the air grew black,

And even dawn forgot its way.

He woke to find the lamp still lit,

The waves still calling from below,

But in his heart a whisper stirred,

A truth that only dreamers know.

That even light must one day fade,

And even waves must meet their shore,

But love, like salt, remains behind,

And keeps the soul forevermore.

This is truly a tribute to lighthouses and their keepers. I love lighthouses.

I really like lighthouses for they are a guide for everyone somehow. Good job.
