A villanelle about a relationship that is going to end.
The song is "I Wish It Would Rain" by The Temptations, a line I use in the poem.
This is the third poem that I have written inspired by the images of Bouke de Vries

You Stopped Talking To Me, Words Never Came
Waiting For The Last Word, That Is Goodbye

Outside There Are Storm Clouds, I Sit And Cry
The Parting Fills Me With Nothing But Pain
My Life Is In Darkness, I Wonder Why

I Thought There Was Love, Or Was That A Lie
Under These Dark Clouds I Wish It Would Rain
Waiting For The Last Word, That Is Goodbye

My Life Shattered, I Feel I Want To Die
I Know I Will Never See You Again
My Life Is In Darkness, I Wonder Why
