The Ghostly Light That Shines in the Night

The mysterious universe brings you fear or delight

The Ghostly Light That Shines in the Night

It flares without warning, from nowhere at all,

a spin of wild colour that dares you to fall.

Not gentle, not kind, not asking your trust,

just burning through silence and kicking up dust.

It hums like a whisper, too loud to ignore,

then coils into corners you’ve never seen before.

A smirk in the dark that knows what you hide,

the glow of a dare that swallows your pride.

No promises made, no mercy in sight,

just the ghostly light that shines in the night.

Not moon, not star, not fire or flame,

but something too reckless to carry a name.

You follow it blindly, though nothing feels right,

your breath catching sharp in the teeth of its bite.

And still it keeps pulsing, as if it knows how

to split you from then and drag you through now.

Not meant to be holy, not crafted for peace,

it runs until silence begins to increase,

then vanishes sudden, like laughter cut short,

leaving only the dark and a head full of thought.

It is named UFO. Some fear it, some delight

it is a mysterious phantom that lives in our sky every night.
