**Trigger Warning **

*

When the weight is so heavy you can bare it, no longer

And you want to hang on, and you wish you were stronger

But your mind disconnects from your body and soul

Until whatever happens, is beyond your control

And you wish you could shield those you love - from the hurt that is coming

You would help if you could, but your body’s not functioning

Cause you did the unthinkable, the thing you thought was the answer

Cutting away the hurt and the pain that have become like a cancer

Eating away at your peace until you don’t even know you

So, you cried out for help in the only way you knew how to

But, in the noise and commotion help took longer than expected

You felt so alone, numb, tired and rejected

Though it was a complete, utter lie you felt it was better than fighting

for your own life

you chose trying to die…

Why?!

sad poetry
