The Echo of Yesterday

A Reflection on Lost Moments

In the quiet corners of the heart,

Where shadows dance with the dying light,

Whispers of a past now torn apart,

Echo softly through the silent night.

Beneath the heavy veil of time,

Memories drift like autumn leaves,

Fading as they climb the rhyme

Of moments lost in distant eves.

Each breath a ghost, each sigh a thread,

Woven into a tapestry of grief,

Where joy and sorrow both are wed,

And tears flow freely in their brief.

Oh, how the days once bright and clear,

Have turned to dust upon the wind,

Leaving only traces of the years,

And dreams that time cannot rescind.

Yet in the depth of sorrow's well,

A fragile beauty gently stirs,

For in each loss, we come to tell

Of love that still in memory purrs.

So let the echoes softly ring,

In hearts where yesterday does play,

For in the loss, we find the spring

That leads us to the light of day.
