The Convenience of White Supremacy

You’re able to storm into government buildings

Wave your Confederate and Nazi Flags

Yell out “To The Republic for Which it Stands”

With your AR-15s that are the very reason

The blood of the Sandy Hook children are in your hands

You’re able to grow up and reach your American Dreams

Become a policeman, have many complaints against you

Even murder a human being with your knees

You are able to take off your masks even though scientists have told you repeatedly

It was against your own safety

You’re able to arrest black store owners when they called for help

In fact, you never even gave a damn about how they felt

These are the conveniences of White Supremacy

You’re able to call peaceful protesters who are against your ideals, your mortal enemies

You can wear your white outfits with your pointy hats

Burn a cross say “hallelujah” while hanging someone because the color of their skin is black

You were able take the people of color from their homes

Unwilling, unchallenged you brought them here in chains

Force them to work for you as you see your cotton fields grow

Because all you really cared about was that piece of paper you’ll gain

Fast forward years later, when you’re able to cheat your way to the office of Commander in Chief

I hope you know that your white supremacy is nothing to be proud of

This is not what your God wanted

You know, the one you praise from the heavens above?

Your discrimination for people of color is the virus

I mean, shit, you’re able to just sit there, post on Instagram about your life

And be okay with your white silence

While people are dying in our own soil from your violence

There will be a time when all of your nonsense WILL end

It will be the times you will have to comprehend

When justice and solidarity will never have to make amends again
