What is red?
garbed in velvet,
that reflects his cheeks and nose.
What is green?
a wrinkled, mean
creature whose heart finally grows.
What is white?
tiny, blinking lights
that dazzle the December nights.
What is blue?
the delicately embossed
cards that are sent for holiday greetings.
What is gold?
the shimmering star
set upon the Christmas tree.
What is silver?
classic, staticky long strands
that come apart and stick to your hands.
What is purple?
the haze of Christmas past
of memories that we deep hold close.

This was both colourful and wonderful! Loved your poem!
Love this and it is perfect for Christmas. It reminded me of the story of the candy cane.
This started with the perfect refernces for red and green and it only got better from there. Well done!
