surreal poetry
Surrealist poetry embodies the essence of poetry itself, drawing upon shocking imagery and lyrical incongruities to comment on the inner-workings of the mind.
Portrait of a Killer
With the slit of a throat and slash of a knife he'd always hope you'd choke tonight, but now he finds that you won't die until next time thus he tries a different way each time hoping against hope that his problem dies so she cries and begs for her life amid all the pain and strife he holds her hand and looks into her eyes seeing the torment that resides inside on fragile wings her hope takes flight she thinks she'll make it out tonight so she fights and grabs the knife and runs it home he gasps the pain untold for all time he closes his eyes a sin that as cast aside now in his hands redemption lies will he choose to live or die
