surreal poetry
Surrealist poetry embodies the essence of poetry itself, drawing upon shocking imagery and lyrical incongruities to comment on the inner-workings of the mind.
Metaphoric Madness
My life has often felt like driving a car exceedingly fast with little control. Floating from one extreme to the next without a thought, almost as if I wasn’t in control at all. I’ve come close to crashing several times. I’ve been pulled over, ticketed, and even jailed yet, to no avail, I can’t slow down. I’ve utilized the cruise control a time or two, rode the wave and flowed with traffic, but there’s only so much going with the flow I can do. In a hurry for nothing, putting myself and others at risk with my negligence, sometimes I feel I deserve the fiery crash that’s impending.

Soundbites of a Dramatic Woman's Life
disclaimer: I use the word "dramatic" jokingly, as often it seems as it raw or pure emotion is socially uncomfortable or odd and therefore must almost be apologetically described...however I know that my thoughts and feelings may very well be commonplace and not "dramatic" at all.
