surreal poetry
Surrealist poetry embodies the essence of poetry itself, drawing upon shocking imagery and lyrical incongruities to comment on the inner-workings of the mind.
Schizophrenia
“She was Madness in a form undecipherable to mortal eyes. She was elemental fury, cast upon the Earth, forever wallowing in confusion, yet so perfectly imperfect in her being. The fire, so vividly burning in the distance, beneath the forest canopy, seduced the darkness and enveloped her in all that she was. For the cold was no stranger to her burning spirit, and no winter could sustain the magma that fell from her lips. Ruins that crumbled to the ground and time ticked silently away as days fell to night. But, like all things immemorial, the antiquities that graced Her danced freely into the woodlands; grasping the trunks, running naked through all that was and that will be”
