Performance Poetry is poetry out loud; poems brought from the page to the stage.
Precious Angel
Precious memories flow through my mind. I think of my joy, my sweet little boy. Holding you for the very first time I felt so complete and amazed that you were really mine. Oh how perfect and fine you are. Perfect little nose, little fingers, and little toes. Happy tear drops flowing down my face, oh my sweet little darling. This perfect moment I will cherish forever. Innocent and sweet my dear baby you are the center of my world and the light of my life. This is truly a gift from god and how he has made me see such a wander. It was so magical of how you entered into this world and into my life. As I look upon your precious face I promise to always keep you safe. The gleam in your eyes when you look into mine is so special and kind sweet little child of mine. Thank you, god from the heavens up high for giving me this special angel. I will treasure him with every waking day and with every breath I take. This I do vow my precious sweet child so tender and mild.

come here, cry beloved, for the country
A letter to the heart, Dear heart, A warning: you are going to cry A correction. Sorry, this is not a warning, please excuse me as I unravel all the things I have been taught to think. I have too, like the Little Prince whose name I do not know, been around too many adults and they have confused my thinking. But you, my dear, you child of the world, you are a child at heart. And so, may we take this moment to return.
