A long poem about breaking, remembering, and beginning again --- I once believed healing was loud — a sunrise that burned the night away,

I still remember how quiet the room became when we stopped trying to fix it. No shouting, no slammed doors— just the sound of two people

We were two people standing in the same room, but living in different memories. You looked at me like you were already gone,
You said my name differently the last time— soft, distant, as if you were practicing how it would sound without love.
It didn’t happen overnight— we just began to fade like ink in rain, our words smudging until they stopped making sense.
I measure my days by how long I can go without thinking your name. Some days, it feels like healing. Other days, like forgetting the lyrics
We didn’t shout, we simply stopped listening. We didn’t break, we just forgot to bend. You turned into silence, and I filled it with excuses.
We didn’t break in one moment— we cracked slowly, like glass under heat, pretending not to notice the lines forming between “good morning” and “good night.”
Only that one evening with you. Just one night out together made me cling to you. Memories of your caressing hands keep on popping up.
