Strike the match.

Set the flame.

Light the wick.

Replace the pane.

The Lantern lit,

gives a soft glow.

Darkness recedes.

Illumination flows.

For one that is lost,

The Lantern light beckons.

A sign in the night.

Here there be welcome.

For one that is cold

The Lantern is warmth,

a place of respite.

Here there be welcome.

For one forsaken,

The Lantern holds hope.

By this light you’ll be seen.

Here there be welcome.

For one left alone in the world,

The Lantern light dances.

Come join us friend.

Here there be welcome.

And so it’s the Lantern I long to be.

The light in the dark, the welcome relief.

Home to the Lost,

Warmth for the Cold,

Hope for the Forsaken,

Friendship for the Alone,

And LOVE for all.

HERE, You’ll Be Welcome.
