Day#10: Writing Challenge
CHALLENGE #1: OBJECT WRITING Day 10/14 “WHEN” Writing 5 minutes – “Six in the Morning” Waking up in the dark is hard. Rolling out of a warm bed, removing yourself from the comfort of your lover’s arms, but the silence you enter is glorious, as it is to watch a new sunrise to greet each day. Yes, it’s hard – but the rewards are extraordinary! Embrace the darkness and the light.

Cheddar Cheese And Strawberry Jam
Introduction At first, I was going to do this as a sonnet, but then thought I would try it as a visual butterfly cinquain and try and make the visual representation look like a sandwich. When I tell people how much I love this they think I am a nutter, but they convert when they actually try it.

The Silent Resilience
The Silent Resilience I often talk about the resilience and strength that lies within us to be the best version of ourselves everyday. The growth that envisions the dreams we embody, and the manifestations we yearn for to come true. All of them are reflections of how the world within us forges itself, whether we are at peace with ourselves or our existence belies in the chaos of being alive.

An Ode to Triple Mango Ice Cream
I am in Williamsburg, Virginia on spring break (almost over now) for a reunion with my graduate school gal friends from almost 30 years ago. When I was done with walking the streets of Colonial Williamsburg, I stumbled upon a Baskin-Robbins store near a parking lot that I tucked my car in. Mango is one of my favorite fruits, so I was excited beyond words to see they have a triple mango ice cream variety. It was so good I had to write an ode in limerick to it.
