She was a bully, but I needed her to like me
Didn't I need everyone to like me?
Extrovert meets introvert
Instant jealousy
Every smile, laugh or conversation
I was fake
Too sweet
Like cherry pie
It stung to hear the words
What are words?
Can words convey a color?
An emotion?
Cherries are red
Red like the blood we all bleed
Red like a hot sunburn
After a day at the beach
Red always comes with negative thoughts
Anger
Hate
Cherries are red
Cherries are sweet
Cherries have pits
Similar to my own heart
Centered within my chest
Red
Warmth
Love
A smile creeps along my lips
I cause a person to laugh
Another is inspired by a story I tell
Red is sweet
Life is short
I would rather be flushed in the face
Like a
Sweet
Cherry
Pie
With questions and concerns
Rather than an empty
Pie pan
Red is equality
You can not see the color of empty.
