Summer’s End
A Poem for the Sensational II Challenge

Your glistening brown eyes settle upon mine
Your voice dances through my ears like the gentlest breeze
Your fingertips brush across my hand, making promises you will never keep
The bitterness of bile fills my mouth as I think of everything we will never be
Mingled with the woodsy scent of you—haunting me long after our summer has ended

Outstanding!
Ahhhh... I do love the analogy of summer representing a new love and fall being the end of it! Great work and such wonderful sensory elements within this piece!! Nicely done Stephanie!!
Started out so well, then heartbreak. This is a wonderful piece. Well done.
Oh I like this one! Real and relatable!
Whoa. Loving the contrast of emotions in this. And romances come with a lot of mixed feelings.
