Acid Trip Poetry

By RiddlePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

panther striped, scratched calves

a bubble laughs at itself

millipede birthed dinosaurs protect me

serpentine claws leech on a wolf’s thunderous howl

gardens for lions off the prowl

it’s relaxation station, nature’s spa

perched upon a mighty stone throne

this seat’s taken

age-old wisdom, take a book off the shelf

gingerly removing a trees leaflet

like a brochure, insight found in firewood

nature walking into pure sensational bliss

drawn towards a destiny

painted through her veins

a stroke of genius in flow

whimsical pleasure, sweet as nectar for a bee

a trip that lasts forever

flying high, weather neutral

basic bliss on acid drops

notes that drift you off to the heavens

keystrokes of the vocals in the surrounding air

and conversations with rock dealers,

stars of their own one-man show

praying mantis, point with new madness

brush strokes, breast strokes

heaving on life’s delight

eyes open, pupil ready

surrounded by singles, hits that make you choke

pinpoint zoom in, my lens is in sight

target locked and loaded

snaking ripples, a guiding compass

hypotheticals and the concrete

answers to all in a heartbeat

conscious mind, mindful and mindless

my masterpiece in the making

canvas displays of stank facing to tunes

hats off, cheerio

to aimless wanderers finding meaning

to a web of my modern design

so that the curious relishes magic all around

when intrepid orchids play hide and seek

as a goblin vends artifacts

when a headlamp guides mystic marvels

and a fog of haze clouds the display

when a shadow’s deception recalls crisp sight

to see that life and death intertwine

when she is just Riddle

every worthy click ricochets poetic mantras

surreal poetry

About the Creator

Riddle

Every morning I look naked into the mirror and repeat, "I love, appreciate, and accept myself exactly as I am."

Love is the cure to this maddening, chaotic world. Show it to yourself, for it will ripple into your reality abundantly.
