Streams
quicksilver meets a silent sob

my sadness
sometimes
gets caught in my throat
like an unplanned cough
sometimes
my sadness
rolls down my cheeks
in a tiny river of mirrors
my sadness
sometimes
clouds my vision
while letting me see
sometimes
my sadness
is a spectrum of emotion
spinning in a fever of wild colours
my sadness
sometimes
is the things i should have said
but i didn’t
sometimes
my sadness
is what i should really do
but wont
my sadness
sometimes
is like doing good
but still feeling bad
sometimes
my sadness
may seem familiar to you
i can feel your sorrow as well

So well written
Such a whirling chaotic miasma it is. Your sadness is uniquely your own, as is all of ours. This is well expressed and touching. Great job.
You OK?
Fantastic work; yep we can absorb others’ feelings. I like this idea. Also a superb and fitting cover image Brenton!
Beautiful! Loved it
Everything okay?
Certainly is very familiar to me! Loved your poem!
Beautifully sad 🫶
