As a young boy the streams
and rivers drew him.
Even the smallest trickle,
the rush of grabbing his rod
and tackle leaving the farm
to escape into any stream or water.
As a young girl loving the outside
the freedom, the open air
the possibilities, the dreams.
Life brings happy and sad to bear.
beginnings and endings
new ventures and closing
of some doors needing
to remain shut.
Opening new relationships and love
is growth, softly blooming.
Special people who share the value
of family, friends combined and separate.
A decision to be in safe surrender
being, knowing, asking …
To just go fishing!
