Strawberry Season

A glimpse of my day poem

By Ellie HoovsPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

She feasts on nature's candy

the red juice of it

dribbling

between fingers

and the corners of her mouth

leaving behind

red stains

of sticky sweetness

and a satisfied smile

I could almost taste the sweetness and feel the warmth of the sun.

Great poetry! You made me want to eat strawberries. I'm going to drink the whole tube of strawberry cream now—how much does love cost? 🐣
