Still wandering after hours, through fallen leaves and tired trees
I cannot help but marvel at the unseen hand that molded these
Lightly do I tread as the day turns into dusk
Even the swans will soon be still, their white wings closed by trust
Nestled in the long reeds, the stars above them start to glow
Closing off the day for now, rest comes to all below
Ere the moon appears amidst the sky, my feet shall turn and I must go.

Such a beautifully painted scene. -their white wings closed by trust- Was an exceptionally moving and observant line. Well Done!!!
Joe, this is outstanding! You captured worship. Loved: Even the swans will soon be still, their white wings closed by trust
Beautiful!
That last line gives the vibe of Robert Frost's poem, The Road Not Taken. So poetic and beautiful. Love that second line "unseen hand." A real masterpiece.
This is beautiful, and I love the pic.
Beautifully, skillfully penned, Joe!
Poems that rhyme are the best 😁
Beautiful and evocative acrostic Joe. And it rhymes! 😃 Good luck!
My favourite line is the reference to swan's wings. Really visual 🙂
