Somewhere In- Between

Frosted Futures

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

Lost in the silence

surrounded by white

An unbelievable stillness

colors washed out of sight

Autumn surrendered

and fall fades away

Hints of winter have entered

as the snow comes to play

Off in the distance

a lone silhouette

A seasonal dance

a chance to forget

Creating new paths

new wishes and dreams

Washing clean our hands

and planting new seeds

The frost has a way

of putting to rest

Creating displays

imprinted, impressed

On the trees and the sills

mother nature prepares

Lacy blankets on hills

rivers, pathways and stairs

Wiping the slate clean

offering something pristine

From where we are going

to somewhere in-between
