Somewhere Beyond The Desert

When I am waiting blue for you

Somewhere Beyond The Desert

Somewhere beyond the desert,

where the wind hums low and deep,

the sun lays gold on endless sand,

and secrets drift in sleep.

Somewhere beyond the desert,

where footprints fade too fast,

the echoes of a love once sworn

are buried in the past.

Somewhere beyond the desert,

where shadows stretch and sigh,

the sky still burns with dying light,

but never asks me why.

Somewhere beyond the desert,

where the stars feel far and few,

I wonder if you walk there too—

or if I’m chasing ghosts of you.

Somewhere beyond the desert,

where rivers turn to dust,

whispers ride the restless breeze,

still speaking words of us.

Somewhere beyond the desert,

where the dunes shift in their sleep,

I carve your name into the wind,

but nothing here can keep.

Somewhere beyond the desert,

past the edge of time and fate,

perhaps a world still waits for us—

or maybe it’s too late.
