Breathing breath into me
Spiraling in imagination
Endless search for patience
Anger dulls my star
Rattling bones of skeleton
And far away, I fly
💀
In to outer space, I fly
Only darkness surrounds me
Flesh peels off my shifting skeleton
Exposing truth through imagination
Off I float into a star
I left, ran out of patience
💀
I had no room for patience
I was convinced that I could fly
Colliding straight into a star
Nothing left of me
In peaceful bliss, imagination
Scattered in space, my skeleton
💀
The earth pulls in a skeleton
Bugs eat flesh with patience
Brains lose depth and imagination
Thrown into the sky, fleshy bits fly
Devouring every inch of me
Watching closely is the star
⭐
Admiration from a star
Scooped by flames, my skeleton
Reforms back in to me
All that was needed was patience
To be taught how to fly
To spark imagination
⭐
With wild imagination
Breathed to life by a star
Finally, I could fly
My body hugged my skeleton
I flew off with patience
Nothing left of the old me
⭐
Created with imagination, a brand new skeleton
Stolen by a shooting star, giving nothing but patience
Spread my feathered wings and fly, creating a whole new me

Amazing Thank yo so much Tanya HUGS
Tanya, many congratulations on your top story❣ Your Sestina is amazing in its entirety, but this is my favorite part: "With wild imagination Breathed to life by a star Finally, I could fly My body hugged my skeleton I flew off with patience Nothing left of the old me"
I was sure I had commented on this brilliant elegant deep and honest piece. But alas not. Do glad it got Top Story. Thoroughly well deserved and well done for tackling the mighty sestina
Oh, good on you—most people are terrified of sestinas, and they haven’t liked any of mine enough to make one a top story this far on my journey here. This is beautiful, and I’m glad to see someone else embracing form.
What a phenomenal poem. Congratulations on your Top Story recognition, too!
Congrats! Catching up on my reading tonight, back then with a real comment.
Congratulations on your Top Story, my lovely! I’ve got the biggest, brightest smile on my face as I type this. Well deserved, absolutely so! 🎉🎉♥️🤗🖤
💖Breathing breath into me" is soft. It sounds like the physical act of breathing, and that repetition reminds me of the literary device polyptoton. There was a different device I giggled about called epizeuxis, like the song "Please please me." It made me feel quite immature! But back to your poem, I find myself concentrating on the feeling it brings rather than translating every inch of it. That is a wonderful thing. 💖I love the sibilance in your line about "shifting skeletons." It keeps us on our toes, focusing on the secret truths hidden within those s and sh sounds. When you floated into a star, I felt like I could see that coruscating brilliance with you.
There’s something haunting and hopeful here at the same time. Losing everything becomes the way to learn how to truly fly.
Soon enough I will be a shooting star with myriads of others. The star is calling. With patience and the number seven (symbolic) of sestina pattern.
