She Loved Herself

There were many things she was unsure of.

Many things in this complex world that she didn’t understand.

But she understands one thing.

She loved him.

With all of her heart and her soul.

She truly loved him.

But the feeling of love can’t excuse anything.

Having your hopes built up to only be knocked down.

False promises.

Empty promises.

The promise of being loved but in reality, there was no such thing in his heart.

There was no heart, it was simply a void.

But what existed in her heart,

Was the love for herself

That took her a decade to find.
