She Doesn't Know I Love Her
A poem about loving someone who doesn't know
By KalPublished 2 months ago • 1 min read

She doesn’t know that I love her,
How her words last forever in my ear,
I don’t know how I couldn’t love her,
She leans in close and my heart skips a beat,
Never getting to kiss her is my only fear,
She doesn’t know that I love her,
Her kindness lights the room with gentle heat,
It’s a warmth my body craves to always be near,
I don’t know how I couldn’t love her,
Bright irises shine as our eyes meet,
For just a moment, I am more than a peer,
She doesn’t know that I love her,
I arrange my thoughts tidy and neat,
I yearn for her voice, a song to hear
I don’t know how I couldn’t love her
Her eyes, marbles of hazel and peat,
Her rejection would be to my heart, a spear,
She doesn’t know I love her,
I don’t know how I couldn’t love her.
