Seven Bridges - The Light Shines On The Tyne
This is for the Vocal "Light Breaks Water" Challenge

Introduction
I often see the light shine on the Tyne when I cross over one of the bridges, either by train, bus or on foot.
I decided to combine the bridges and the works of John Gordon and Rob Hain in these three quartets
Seven Bridges - The Light Shines On The Tyne

Seven Bridges There Are
That Span The River Tyne
The Redheugh Just Takes Cars
On The Tyne The Light Shines

King Edward The Seventh
Does Carry A Train Line
Locomotive Heaven
As You're Crossing The Tyne

The Queen Elizabeth
Bearing The Metro Line
Over The River Depths
The Waters Of The Tyne

Then The High Level Bridge
Two Levels Oe'r The Tyne
Newcastle To Gateshead
Across The Shining Tyne

The Swing Bridge Next In Line
Twisting To Let Boats Through
Up And Then Down The Tyne
Topped With A Lighthouse Blue

The Tyne Bridge Commanding
Reflected In The Tyne
A Curve So Impressive
A Reflection So Fine

Conclusion
Thank you for reading. This did not turn out like I thought it would, but I am pleased with the outcome.

Gotta be the best city in the world for bridges. Well done for capturing it so well Mike, in verse and image
Thank you for a unique, poetic tour! On a completely unrelated side note, I now have The Eagles' "Seven Bridges Road" stuck in my head.
Loved your beautiful poem and photos!
I always like your virtual tours of your Britain. Did anyone ever get caught on the swing bridge when boats were going through. Wouldn't that be kind of fun and yet frightening too. Great job.
Oh, wow. Thanks for sharing the images with us, Mike. Great poem, also <3 Enjoyed the little tidbits of trivia in each verse
