It'd be lie to say I put me first

A lie to claim to love me more

When run to you, cling to you

Even if you hurt me a thousand times

A million lies laced with toxins

Flaming swords slicing mountains

All for a title I never needed

All for a feeling I already had

Deep inside I know what best for me

But I lost myself in the feelings of love

And happily ever after

To be mistreated and beaten and battered

Bruised until this smile meant nothing

I'm a liar, a cheater, a hater, a dreamer

And can't believe the melody I told myself

Not a touch to my skin or a kiss to my heart

Just a lonely feeling wedged deep in my heart

What good is love if it leaves me in the dust?

What good is love if it doesn't benefit me?

What good is love when you just hurt me

Now you think is all I am is evil and pain

But the truth is that feeling is your own
