SCULPTURE Sighed!!

A gift from ME 😉

By KomalPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

She was a sculpture— QUIET,

SILKEN HUSH,

MUTED BREATH,

SOFT STILLNESS,

C A L M,

C A R E F U L L,

FEATHER-FOOTED,

CAUTIOUS GRACE.

Happy in her OWN little world,

Dreaming in silence,

Holding her heart like a delicate flower.

She never asked for much,

Just P E A C E,

just S P A C E,

Just a place where she wouldn’t have to explain

Why her words stayed tucked away.

But deep inside,

she W I S H E D…

she C R A V E D...

For someone who would understand,

Who would see the SOFTNESS in her stillness,

Who would HOLD her without asking her to change.

And then— HE came.

Full of L I G H T,

full of LAUGHTER,

Full of stories he couldn’t wait to share.

He didn’t rush her, didn’t break her,

Just stood beside her, HAND open,

Waiting for the day she’d take it.

His LOVE was G E N T L E,

M E L L O W,

TENDER-GLOW,

B A L M Y,

B E N I G N,

MOON-KISSED,

VELVET HUSH,

yet I N F I N I T E,

BOTTOMLESS,

S K Y W O V E N,

E N O R M O U S,

A E O N I A N.

His touch— a PROMISE,

not a D E M A N D.

On 14 February 2025,

His voice met HERS,

His hands met HERS,

His heart murmured three words—

"You are ALIVE."

And the sculpture breathed.

Lovely. Having married for 14 years, my sculpture numbs and breaks sometimes. Yet, love breathes life into a figurine.

"He didn’t rush her, didn’t break her...His LOVE was GENTLE." Just adored these lines and everything in between. And when you've known THIS type of LOVE...you can write poetry for the rest of your LIFE (in between the lovin' of course 😁) *Starshine in my heart*

Amazed! So beautifully written! The sculpture finally came to life as she found a person she could trust.

This is really creative. I often looked at sculptures in clothing stores that modeled clothes and envisioned them becoming alive

This has such a wonderful flow and beauty in knowing that there are people can understand you, love you, and wait for you. So many people long for this, never to experience the words you've written. Great job here!

You're an incredible writer, Komal. Every word seems so carefully chosen and they all ooze an ethereal beauty. It's selfish of me to say, but I want more!

This poem is pure magic! ✨💖 "A masterpiece of emotions, a painting of feelings!" Komal has woven words like golden threads, each one a heartbeat, every line a breath! 💫 This isn’t just poetry—it’s a silent dream echoing through the soul. The warmth of a touch, the serenity of presence, the boundless depth of love… This poem isn’t meant to be just read—it’s meant to be felt. Like the gentle glow of moonlight whispering that love is a kind of magic. ✨🕊️ "And then… the moment arrived when the sculpture breathed." 😍🔥
