Love tribute

They flowed like a wild river,

serpentining, weaving, wave after wave.

Then, they flowed into the gentle sea,

falling faster into love, so costly-free!

Laced fingers and spellbound,

only hearing heartbeats, drumming sound.

Turkish melodies humming,

and ships looking on with jealousy.

Singing love’s adventure and delights,

miles away from judgment and nasty frights.

Dancing in the midst of the morning,

gazing at the named stars was never thought to be boring.

She was indeed the brightest star,

side by side, this love, the world could simply never mar.

Love has the power to shut the rest of the world out, doesn't it? Loved your poem.
