Sadness is awareness of loss.
Infinite regret grappling with what never was or will be
Liminal void, grief seeping and pooling in a vacuum
Expanding into the elastic sphere of never-to-be-met expectation
Noiseless shrieks and screams paired with deaf ears
Cacophonous NOTHING, sucking thought and breath from memory and soul
Evacuating thoughts while leaving leaden lacerated longing voiceless.

Silence can be wonderful...or it can be soul damning. This captures that.
