Rhyming On The Eighth Of October
I forget but there are others around to remind me for sure!
This month we had some fun. And I intend to share some, Hon.
I was in Target today,
and I must say,
that the jeans were very familiar.
Looking back, they resembled similar
jeans to when I was a girl. My goals
were no frills or curls, straight hair, and holes.
*
The jeans of today,
what can I say?
There is little to no difference.
The bigger the holes the better.
You can look back at old photos for reference.
It is a rhyming day today, so this need not be a letter.
~
Then after another poets rhyme. I knew what I had on for this time.
Kathy, what a great way to rhyme
Now, I will finish up my target time.
There was a woman there opening up a box of pads.
I was telling the hubby as he was looking at the ads.
~
She told me she needed them because she would sneeze and pee.
He laughed and said guys aren’t like women you see.
I told her I would take the box she opened, and he laughed, the brat.
He laughed and said why do people tell you all that.
~
I caught her when I came around the corner, she was opening the box.
People tell me more than that, including jocks.
Then they will say I’ve never told anyone that.
So there, you big brat!
~
I’m a retired counselor/therapist, so what can I say?
I hope you have a good day and happy rhyming today!
