A monarch for the ages
Like we’ll never see again
She ruled with grace and dignity
Throughout her vast domain
Seventy years we’ve known her
She’s been our queen long since
But she’s traded her crown for a halo
And reunited with her prince

From those she left behind
Some grieved from a distance

Her time had come to leave us
