Apples are falling
Bushels are full
Cozy knit sweaters
Darned with soft wool
*
Evenings feel cooler
Full length are the sleeves
Golden bright colours
Hang from the trees
*
In the stacked leaf piles
Jump round and round
Kicking and laughing
Lying back down
*
Marshmallows are roasting
Nuts and fruits dried
Oven is baking
Pumpkin and apple pies
*
Quiet, still evenings
Roaring warm fires
Sipping a delicious
Tangy apple cider
*
Unwieldy large beasts
Visitors are soon coming
Welcome Thanksgiving dinner
X'es are happily hugging
*
Yearning for the feeling of
Zen, when seeing the colours I love.

Such a nice poem! A great entry for the Abecedarian challenge! If you get the chance to check my submission out I would greatly appreciate it!
Lovely!
πππ Awesome! How did you get so much flow into an Abecedarian?? π€― Iβm feeling the urge to go buy a pumpkin and drink cider now.
This is so good! I'm impressed with how you found words for each letter and the way you made it all flow so well. Also perfectly captures the energy of the season!
Great piece π π§‘ππ
This is super! It effortlessly flows and has so much delicate beauty. Lovely, Cathy ππβ€οΈ
I just got slapped with so much nostalgia I thought I was watching Caillou's Thanksgiving special as a child on fall break in preschool while my parents were cooking in the kitchen. Man, I remember the days of trying to scrounge together an allowance to help buy gifts for our family members. Just trying to rake enough leaves together and get them all to get in the ditch for the city to take em', and then playing in the leaf piles too. Ahhh, and You can't forget about the apple orchards with rows upon rows of apple trees along with their petting zoos. I always loved petting the cute and fluffy little chicks.
This is so perfectly done! Magical, 'Golden bright colours. Hang from the trees' Evokes so many feelings Christmas and stockings. Loved this! π€
